Robert Sweat, 68, of Macclenny

Robert Sweat, 68, of Macclenny died February 9, 2012. He was born in Macclenny to the late Alfred and Polly Crews Sweat on June 24, 1943. He was a lifelong resident of Macclenny and retired in 1984 from the Ironworkers Local 597 after 24 years of service. Robert was co-owner and operator with his wife Konnie of Konnie’s Klear Pools for 23 years.

He loved to fish, listen to country and bluegrass music and watch the western channel. He was predeceased by his daughter Samantha Fraizer and brothers Frank, Leroy and Henry Sweat.

Survivors include his loving wife of 30 years Konnie Sweat; children Brenda Crosby, Anita (Toby) Covington, Holly (Keith) Higginbotham, Robert (Samantha) Sweat Jr., Billy (Tiffany) Clarkson and Heather (Emmett) Glasgow; sisters Elizabeth Lowery, Ruby (Johnny Wayne)Anderson, Barbara Ann (Dave) Hohmann, Ola Mae Sweat and Pencie (Dan) Roberts; grandchildren Chasidy, Ricky, Amy, Tiffany, Keith, Kalynn, Joshua, Mason, Seth, Kinsey and Cade; great-grandchildren Annslee, Tar­­alynn, Bailey, Jackson, Jace, Jasper, Tyler, Brayli, Ava and Trinity.

The funeral service was held on Monday, February 13 at 2 pm at Raiford Road Church with Pastor Eddie Griffis officiating. Interment followed at Woodlawn Cemetery in Macclenny. V. Todd Ferreira Funeral Services was in charge of arrangements.
