Lula Mae Gibson, 86, of Macclenny, died Tuesday, November 1, 2011.
She was born in Cynthianna, Kentucky, the daughter of the late Gilbert and Edna Griffin Jones and was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints. She was a homemaker and enjoyed spending time with family and friends. She is preceded in death by husband Otis Gibson and daughter Ann Norman.
Survivors include sons Woody Gibson of Newcastle, Indiana; Delbert (Kay) Gibson of Deland; Gary (Glenda) Gibson and Richard (Beth) Gibson, both of Macclenny; daughter Jean (David) Weathington of Macclenny; brothers Tommy and Bobby Jones of Newcastle, Indiana and sister Lucy Bell of Florida; 19 grandchildren, 33 great-grandchildren, and three great-great -grandchildren also survive.
The funeral service was held Saturday, November 5 at 1:30 pm at her church with Bishop Brent Whitney officiating. Interment followed at Manntown Cemetery in Glen St. Mary. Forbes Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
