Ronald Miller, 68, dies August 24th

Ronald “Ronnie” Eugene Miller, Sr., 68, of Macclenny died August 24, 2011. He was born in South Holland, IL to the late Clarence Edgar and Louise Boyd Miller on November 7, 1942. He was a resident of Baker County since 1976 and honorably served in the US Marines for nine years. He was a carpenter for 30 years at White Oak Plantation before retirement. Ronnie was a hard worker, dedicated father, family man, avid Gator fan and was always willing to extend a hand to anyone.

Mr. Miller was predeceased by his former wife Brenda Miller; his wife of 23 years Theresa Williams Miller; brothers Eddie and Tyrone and sisters Kathy, Irene and Jeanette.

Survivors include children Ronda Miller (Danny) Mercer, Ronald E. (Misty) Miller Jr., Brandy Miller Hartley, Travis Tyrone Miller of Macclenny, Lance Cox of Folkston, GA and Amber Dawn (Royce) Vernon of Middleburg; sisters Mary Foucart and Geneva Shutte of Jacksonville; 14 grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.

The funeral service was held August 27 at V. Todd Ferreira Funeral Services Chapel in Macclenny with Pastor Edsel Bone officiating. Interment followed at South Prong Cemetery in Sanderson.
