Shirley Dugger Rodgers, 78, of Jacksonville died June 8, 2011 at Shands of University of Florida Hospital.
Mrs. Rodgers was the daughter of the late John Daniel and Mattie Harvey Dugger and resided in Jacksonville the past 50 years. She attended the 103rd Street Church of God in Jacksonville and was a cashier with Winn-Dixie for 20 years. She enjoyed playing cards and loved to do crossword puzzles. She loved her family very much.
Survivors include her husband of 60 years, George B. Rodgers; daughter Gail (Bill) Riddell, Amelia Island; son Billy (Betty) Rodgers, Keystone Heights; brother Junior Dugger of Macclenny; grandchildren Alison (Scott) Everill, Will (Christina) Riddell, Erin (Luke) Carter, Zachary Rodgers, Rebekah Lynn Rodgers, Michael and Tyler; five great grandchildren.
The funeral service for Mrs. Rodgers was held on June 14 at 10:00 am at the Christian Fellowship Temple with the Rev. James Rodgers officiating. Interment followed at Woodlawn Cemetery. Guerry Funeral Home in Macclenny was in charge of arrangments.
