Franklin Edward Clyatt Sr., 83, of Lake City passed away Tuesday, June 7, 2011 at Lake Shore Hospital in Lake City. Mr. Clyatt was born in Providence, FL to the late Brewster and Louise Fralick Clyatt and lived all of his life in Lake City. He was a veteran of the United States Army Air Corps during World War II, serving in the European Theatre.

Mr. Clyatt enjoyed fishing and watching the Dallas Cowboys. He was a member of the Moose Lodge, the American Legion and Hopeful Baptist Church, which he loved attending. Mr. Clyatt was preceded in death by his wife Martha Jean Clyatt in 2001.

He is survived by son Franklin E. Clyatt, Jr. (Lynn), Wheaton, Maryland; daughters Debra Johnson (John Thomas), Macclenny and Linda Jones (Chris), Lake City; brothers Ivan Clyatt and Charles Clyatt (Janice), both of Lake City, and David Clyatt (Brenda), Jacksonville; sisters Nancy Chauncey (Stanley), Yvonne Petty (Zimmie) and Marylou Daniels (Lewis), all of Lake City; eight grandchildren and ten great grandchildren.

The funeral service for Mr. Clyatt was held June 10 in the chapel of Guerry Funeral Home with Dr. Rodney Baker, pastor of Hopeful Baptist Church, officiating. Interment followed at Forest Lawn Memorial Gardens Cemetery.
